The Cathedral of Seville is a stunning example of Gothic architecture and the 3rd largest Cathedral in the world. It is located on the original site of the 12th century Almohad Mosque which was replaced in 1401 by a Christian Gothic cathedral, converting the mosque’s minaret into the Giralda bell tower and keeping the original Orange trees, known as Patio de los Naranjos. The sheer size of the Cathedral has made it world famous and a great tourist attraction in the city.
